Terms of Use
1. Acceptance of Terms
By creating an account with Petadata Storage, you agree to comply with these Terms of Use. This document governs the use of our S3 API-compatible object storage services.
2. Service Description
Petadata provides data storage infrastructure with triple redundancy and high availability. The service is intended for backups, archiving, content distribution and cloud applications.
3. Billing Model (100% Prepaid)
Our billing model operates exclusively under a prepaid regime:
- The daily cost is calculated as Monthly Price / 30.
- Credits are consumed daily based on the contracted active capacity.
- There are no withdrawal or egress fees. Traffic is monitored to ensure fair use.
- The infrastructure is shared; speed limitations may be applied in case of abuse.
4. Suspension and Deletion due to Lack of Balance
Service continuity depends on the existence of a positive balance:
- Immediate suspension when balance reaches zero.
- Data retention for 15 calendar days after suspension.
- Irreversible deletion of all data after 15 days of suspension.
5. User Responsibilities
The user is solely responsible for:
- Confidentiality of S3 Access Keys and Secret Keys.
- Legality of the content stored in the buckets.
- Configuration of backups and data redundancy outside Petadata.
6. Prohibited Uses
It is strictly prohibited to use the service for:
- Storage of illegal content or content that infringes copyrights.
- Activities that compromise the infrastructure security.
- Resale of the service without prior authorization.
7. Limitation of Liability
Petadata employs its best efforts to ensure data availability and integrity, but is not responsible for losses resulting from misuse of access keys by the user or the definitive deletion of data after the 15-day suspension period for lack of payment. The Petadata Explorer application is provided "as is": Petadata is not responsible for (a) loss or alteration of data resulting from operations performed by the user within the application, such as deleting or overwriting files; (b) unavailability, failures, or incompatibilities arising from the operating system, the distribution store, or the use of outdated versions of the application; and (c) misuse of access credentials by the user or by third parties authorized by them. The limitations in this section apply to the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, without prejudice to the rights guaranteed to consumers under applicable legislation.
8. Jurisdiction
To resolve any controversies arising from this contract, the parties elect the court of the district of Campinas/SP, Brazil, with waiver of any other, however privileged it may be.
