1. Introduction

Petadata Storage ("we", "our" or "Petadata") values your privacy. This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use and protect your information when using our S3-compatible object storage platform.

2. Data Collection

We collect information necessary for the provision of our services, including:

• Registration data (name, email, document, address).
• Access logs (IP, date, time, browser).
• Billing and credit transaction information.

3. Purpose of Processing

Your data is used to:

• Provide and manage your storage account.
• Process payments and manage credits.
• Send technical notifications and security alerts.
• Comply with legal and regulatory obligations.

4. Storage and Security

Data stored in our infrastructure is maintained in Datacenters located in Brazil, ensuring low latency and data sovereignty. We use cutting-edge encryption and rigorous security protocols to protect your infrastructure against unauthorized access.

5. Anonymous Device Identifier

When you access the authenticated panel, we generate an anonymous identifier for your device (no personal data such as name, email, precise geolocation, or hardware identifiers) with the sole purpose of detecting suspicious access to your account. The identifier is bound to your session and discarded within 30 days of last use. You can revoke every trusted device at any time using "Sign out everywhere". This feature is never applied to public pages, only after login.

6. Data Retention and Deletion

We keep your registration data while your account is active. Regarding data stored in storage services (Buckets and Keys):

• If the balance is zero, the service is immediately suspended (Read/Write block).
• Data is kept for 15 days in a suspended state.
• After 15 days of suspension, data is permanently purged.

7. Your Rights

As a data subject, you have the right to:

• Access your personal data.
• Correct incomplete or inaccurate data.
• Request deletion of registration data (subject to legal retention).
• Portability of data to another service provider.

8. Petadata Explorer App (Desktop)

Petadata Explorer is a client application (distributed via the Microsoft Store on Windows, with other platforms in the future) used to access and manage the files in your Petadata account. Regarding the data handled by the application:

• Authentication: the app sends your email and password to our servers only to authenticate and obtain an access token. Your password is not stored on the device.
• Local data: the app stores a session token and your last used email on your own device to keep you signed in. This data stays only on the device and is removed when you log out.
• Your files: the contents of your buckets and objects are accessed directly between the app and the storage service, under your control. Petadata does not collect, scan, or share the contents of your files for any other purpose.
• No telemetry or advertising: the app does not collect usage data for behavioral analytics or advertising purposes, and does not share data with third parties for those purposes.
• Updates: when distributed via the Microsoft Store, app updates are managed by the Store itself.
